Storm & Disaster Response, Deployed Nationwide
Right-of-way cleared, crews housed and fed, debris gone. Three companies under one family, dispatched together, so a single call covers the whole restoration instead of three vendors you have to coordinate yourself.
Storm Response Since 2005 | 24/7 Emergency Dispatch | Deployed Nationwide
McMichael Waste Services is a women-owned emergency sanitation, waste, and site services company based in Glencoe, Alabama, deploying to storms nationwide. Our leadership has run storm response since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Three companies, one family, one dispatch. McMichael Waste Services (founded 2009) provides sanitation, water and wastewater, and debris container services. Southeastern Utility Services builds substations and clears right-of-way. Global Disaster Logistics (formed 2025) stands up the base camp that houses, feeds and washes crews.
Storm work is not a bigger service call. Access is restricted, cell towers are down, fuel is short, and the site changes daily. Between the three companies, one call covers the whole restoration.

One Call Covers the Whole Restoration
After a major storm, a utility needs three things at once: cleared right-of-way and substation work, somewhere for the crews to sleep and shower, and somewhere to put the debris. Our three companies cover all three under common ownership, so you coordinate with one team instead of three.
- Southeastern Utility Services handles the utility side: greenfield and brownfield substation construction up to 500kV, vegetation management, right-of-way clearing, mulching and horizontal grinding, dozer and excavator sitework
- Global Disaster Logistics stands up the camp: sleep and bunk trailers, showers, laundry, catering, tents, power generation and command space, at sites from small crew staging up to 2,500 people
- McMichael Waste Services runs sanitation, water and waste: restroom and shower trailers, portable toilets, hand-wash stations, fresh water, greywater and blackwater removal, and roll-off containers sized to the debris stream
Same ownership, same leadership, one dispatch. Erica McMichael is Chief Executive Officer and Chad McMichael is Vice President.
