40 Yard Dumpster Rental in Alabama
The largest container we run. Eight-foot walls on the same 22-foot footprint, for demolition cleanup and high-volume bulky material.
The 40 yard exists for material that takes up room without weighing much. Demolition debris, roofing on a commercial building, packaging, insulation, furniture and fixtures out of a full building strip-out. It is the same 22-by-8 footprint as our 20 and 30, with eight-foot walls, so the decision is never about where it goes. It is about whether your material is bulky or heavy, because those two things need very different containers.

- Twice the volume of a 20 yard on identical ground.
- Built for bulky and lightweight material, which is what fills a demolition site fastest.
- Paired with our demolition and land clearing crews when MWS is running the whole job, not just hauling from it.
FAQ's
When do I need a 40 yard instead of a 30?
When material is bulky rather than heavy. Demolition debris, insulation, packaging, cabinetry and fixtures fill volume quickly without adding much weight. If your material is concrete, brick or dirt, a 40 yard is the wrong container no matter how much of it there is.
Can I put concrete or dirt in a 40 yard?
No. Heavy material would exceed legal haul weight long before the container is full. That is what our 10 yd dump trailer is for. If you have both types of debris on one job, we will set two containers.
Does a 40 yard need more space than a 30?
No. It is the same 22 feet by 8 feet on the ground. It is two feet taller. Overhead clearance is the thing to check, not ground space.
How much weight will a 40 yard hold?
About 9.6 tons of mixed debris using EPA’s conversion factors. In practice a 40 rarely runs out of weight, because the material that fills forty yards is bulky rather than dense. If your debris is heavy enough to make weight the question, you are looking at the wrong container.
Do you handle the demolition too, or just the container?
Both. MWS runs demolition and land clearing crews as well as containers, so on a full teardown the same company that takes the structure down hauls the debris off. One call, one schedule, one point of accountability.
How fast can you get one out?
We dispatch locally out of Glencoe rather than through a national call center, so a container is scheduled by someone who knows the route. Call 256-438-6118 and we will tell you what we can do that day.
