30 Yard Dumpster Rental in Alabama
Same footprint as a 20, eighteen inches more wall. Built for new construction, large remodels and jobsites where more than one trade is throwing material.
The 30 yard is what a jobsite orders when the 20 is getting emptied too often. It takes up exactly the same ground as a 20 yard, 22 feet by 8 feet, and adds eighteen inches of wall height. That matters more than it sounds: it is fifty percent more capacity with no change to where the container sits, which means fewer hauls, fewer interruptions and one less thing for a superintendent to schedule around.

When a container does not show up, the crew standing around is the cost, not the container. We dispatch out of Glencoe, so the person scheduling your delivery knows the route, the road and the site. Seventeen-plus years running these routes across Etowah County and the corridor.
- Fifty percent more volume than a 20 yard on identical ground.
- Fewer swap-outs on an active site, which is usually the real cost of an undersized container.
- Handles framing scrap, drywall, packaging and mixed trade debris.
FAQ's
What is the difference between a 20 and a 30 yard?
Height. Both are 22 feet long and 8 feet wide. The 20 has four-and-a-half-foot walls and the 30 has six-foot walls. If a 20 yard fits your site, a 30 fits the same spot and holds substantially more.
When should I move up from a 20 to a 30?
When you are hauling more than once on the same job, or when more than one trade is loading the same container. Framing, drywall and packaging fill volume fast without adding much weight, and that is exactly what a 30 is for.
Is a 30 yard too tall to load by hand?
Six-foot walls are high for hand loading. Most crews using a 30 are loading with a machine, a chute or from a ramp. If your crew is loading by hand all day, a 20 will usually move faster.
How much weight will a 30 yard hold?
Around 7.2 tons if it is mixed construction and demolition debris, using EPA’s conversion factors. Fill the same box with anything dense and you hit the legal haul weight long before the top rail.
Can you keep a container on site for the length of a build?
Yes. Extended terms are available for long-term construction, and we can schedule swaps so the container keeps up with the job.
What can't go in it?
Hazardous materials, liquids, tires, batteries and appliances containing refrigerant are handled separately. Ask when you book and we will tell you what to set aside.
